We are seeking old lighting (particularly 1840’s -1920’s or earlier) including kerosene, gas & electric, torches, old store stock, fixtures and also posters, displays & literature pertaining to early lighting. Also seeking early plumbing and accessories, complete or otherwise.

In general, we are not purchasing average household goods. If you don’t know what you have, send us an email with photos and we can help point you in the right direction. Value and interest have changed a lot in the past five years.

We offer legal appraisals of individual items, medium groupings to collections for personal use. This process requires some time and incurs a fee in order to make the evaluation legally sound. We no longer have the capacity to manage the rigor of divorce case appraisals.

We also serve as consultants for restoration projects. Consultation includes inventorying, photographing and identifying existing lighting and describing the means by which the lighting should be restored. In the absence of existing lighting, we recommend what types of lighting may originally have been in use in a structure. We also recommend vintage lighting to be used in new homes and/or places of business.

Our restoration process normally includes complete refinishing of the metals (only as necessary), replacement of burners, sockets and fitters (only as necessary), complete re-wiring and installation of authentic period glass shades. Many fixtures do not require restoration, and/or are sold as-is from previous location of install.
